Discovery While Racing

Our number one priority is to have fun.  If it’s not fun then it’s not worth doing!  Part of having fun is not just striving to improve but also discover the many aspects of racing.  Winning might be a byproduct but learning and sharing experiences will make motorsport life more interesting.

2021 Senna’s First Drive at Pat’s Acres

This was the second time Senna got to drive his 2020 Kosmic kart. There are no weights added to the kart and the carb is out of spec. We know the times will be slower once we get him set up for Junior 2 in LO206. This was more for him getting used to the kart and experiencing a racing kart above the normal arrive and drive rental karts. His new personal best time is 43.61 (this was from a handheld stopwatch on my phone and not from a data logger. We have an Alfano 6 on the way.)

Special thanks to his 2021 sponsors:
Mortgage Monkey – https://mortgagemonkey.com
American Family Insurance – Chris Smerke Agency, LLC

and…
A very special thanks to the mechanic that put this package together, Dalton Egger from Pat’s Acres.

Meeting Senna

Senna was born in 2008 and started racing in early 2017 when our local indoor kart racing center, SyKart; allowed him to race.  Senna wasn’t the fastest racer in the beginning but there were a lot of young racers that were competitive enough to keep him wanting to go back and do better.  His first ever league, with only a handful of session to practice with, got progressively better throughout the season.  In his first league he didn’t win any races but he did have a couple of second place finishes and the rest were third or lower.  That didn’t stop him from continuing to want to go back and want to learn the art of racing indoor karts.
